Eleven everyday apps for Indian companies

From timesheet to tax return.

Hub, Time, HR, Pay, Spend, Books, Growth, Desk, Cheer, Refer and Skills, on one employee record and one sign-in. An approved timesheet becomes payroll and payroll becomes your books, through to the ITR-6. A resolved ticket, a referral hire or a verified skill shows up in the review. On our cloud in India, or on your own server.

The suite

Eleven apps, each with a real job. Use all of them, or start with the ones that hurt.

Each one does a full job on its own, and they share one sign-in, one employee record and one set-up. People Core has Hub, Time, HR and Pay. People Plus adds Spend, Growth, Desk, Cheer, Refer and Skills. The Complete suite adds Books.

How the apps feed each other

Work done in one app turns up where it's needed next.

The money trail is one part of it. The same record carries attendance into reviews, referrals into payroll and praise into appraisals, with no export in between.

  1. Time→Pay

Attendance, unpaid days, overtime, late marks and leave encashment reach the pay run each month.

  2. PaySpend→Books

Payroll journals and statutory deposits post themselves; claims arrive as GST bills, with advances and department cost centres.

  3. Refer→HRPay

Referred people become HR candidates, and a bonus that falls due is paid as a one-off payroll earning.

  4. TimeDeskReferSkills→Growth

KPIs fill themselves: attendance %, tickets resolved, SLA met %, referral hires and skills approved.

  5. Growth→Pay

Increments decided on the increment board go to Pay as draft salary revisions.

  6. Cheer⇄Growth

Praise given in Growth becomes a Cheer card, and Cheer cards show on the review's praise card.

  7. Hub→Every app

People, managers, departments, approval chains and privacy requests, set once and read by every app.

The money trail

An hour logged on Monday reaches the ITR-6 without anyone re-typing it.

One employee record runs through Time, Pay, Spend and Books. Payroll, statutory deposits and expense claims post themselves, and Form 130, Form 138, Schedule III, the tax audit and the ITR-6 come from the same ledger.

  • Time to Pay
Attendance, unpaid days, overtime, late marks and leave encashment reach the pay run each month.
  • Pay and Spend to Books
Payroll journals and statutory deposits post themselves; claims arrive as GST bills, with advances and department cost centres.
  • Books to the year-end
GST and TDS returns, Schedule III accounts, the tax audit and the ITR-6 computation, from the same ledger.

The usual set-up

Seven tools, three spreadsheets, and a CA who re-types it all.

A 100-person services firm typically buys an HR and payroll tool, a timesheet tool, an expense tool, a helpdesk, a recognition tool and a review tool, then exports journals into Tally. Separate tools for this work cost about ₹230 to ₹800 per employee a month at published prices, before set-up fees and the hours spent joining them up.

With Dexta

Why teams choose Dexta

Five things you won't get from an HR tool and Tally.

01

From timesheet to tax return

One employee record runs through Time, Pay, Spend and Books. Payroll, statutory deposits and expense claims post themselves, and Form 130, Form 138, Schedule III, the tax audit and the ITR-6 come from the same ledger.

02

Reviews built on real work

Growth's KPIs fill themselves from Time, Desk, Refer and Skills, Cheer's thank-yous sit on the review, and a check flags any rating the evidence doesn't support. Decided increments go to Pay as a draft.
