Manufacturing and plants
For plants, factories and multi-site operations. Keep the attendance machines you already own, run shifts and rosters, work out overtime under the Labour Codes, and pay everyone correctly in every state you operate in.
Shifts and overtime
Start, end, break, late and early grace, half-day and full-day hours, and a default shift for each location. Night shifts cross midnight with the night punch handled. Rotation patterns and weekly offs go on a roster grid you edit, publish and assign in bulk.
A worker asks a colleague to swap. The colleague agrees first, then the manager approves, through a multi-level chain if you set one.
Counted daily, weekly or both, against the 48-hour weekly limit, with Wage Rules rounding. Dexta warns at 144 hours in a quarter. Employees claim, managers approve, and Pay pays overtime at twice the hourly rate.
Work on a rest day becomes overtime or comp-off. Comp-off expires after 60 days by default and the oldest credit is used first. Every N late marks can cost X days of leave or pay; HR can waive marks, and the result goes to Pay each month.
Attendance
Most networked eSSL and ZKTeco models, and their look-alikes, speak the ADMS push protocol. They send each punch to Dexta Time as it happens.
Only registered serial numbers are accepted. A new machine waits for HR's approval, and HR can limit a machine to the plant's IP range.
For machines that can't push, import the CSV or Excel export from eTimeTrack, ZKTime/Att2000 or BioTime, or a USB download. The file is checked before it is saved.
Clock in from the phone, checked against the site's location and radius (200 m by default). Out-of-fence clock-ins can be allowed, flagged or refused. An optional selfie is never used for face recognition, and under-18s are never location-tracked.
Machines need to be ADMS-capable for live punches. Machines that can't use HTTPS send punches unencrypted unless an office relay is used; we'll check your models with you.
Reaching the floor
Payslip ready, something to approve, a leave update: short WhatsApp or SMS alerts go to people who opt in and confirm their number. No amounts, PAN or bank details are ever sent, and nothing goes out between 21:00 and 08:00 by default.
Needs your own MSG91, Gupshup or Twilio account, DLT registration for SMS, and Meta-approved templates for WhatsApp.
Payroll across states
Professional tax slabs and labour welfare fund rules for all 36 states and union territories, collected in the months each state collects them. Dexta reminds payroll when a state hasn't notified the year's cap.
Several holiday calendars (for example one per state), with public and restricted holidays, and Saturday patterns per work week. Each location's staff follow their own.
The 50% wage rule, the 50% cap on deductions, a leaver's pay within two working days, gratuity for fixed-term staff after a year, and earned leave at one day per 20 days worked.
PF at the ₹25,000 ceiling with the ECR file, ESI and the ESIC upload file, and Payment of Bonus Act amounts proposed from the year's payslips.
Stock and the books
Godowns, batches, stock entries and count sheets, valued by weighted average or FIFO (AS 2).
Bills of materials and production orders that move stock through work in progress at cost.
Delivery challans for goods moved without a sale, and the ITC-04 job-work return from them.
Every site, every shift
The same sign-in that clocks people in opens the rest of the suite, on the phone app or a shared desk.
A broken punch, a payslip question or a laptop for the site office goes to the IT, HR or Finance desk as a ticket, with an SLA that counts your working hours and holidays. Grievances stay confidential.
Your operators refer people they know. Candidates under 18 are flagged for guardian consent, and the bonus is paid through payroll once the hire stays past the waiting period.
A supervisor thanks a crew for a safe month or a line changeover, against one of your values, on the company feed and the person's profile.
Attendance % comes into scorecards from Time by itself, and overtime, late finishes and no leave count towards an explained burnout warning.
Built: day-rated and hourly workers, paid a day or hour rate for the days or hours worked, taken from Dexta Time or entered in Pay.
