About
We build Dexta so your people, your work and your books agree.
Dexta is eleven everyday apps for Indian companies on one employee record: time, HR, payroll, expenses, reviews, a helpdesk, recognition, referrals, skills and accounting, behind one sign-in. Made in India by BIITS.
Why Dexta exists
Most Indian firms stitch seven tools together.
A typical 50 to 500 person firm buys an HR and payroll tool, a timesheet tool, an expense tool, a helpdesk, a recognition tool and a review tool. Then someone exports journals to Tally, and the CA re-types what doesn't match.
Each tool keeps its own copy of the employee list. A new joiner is added four times. A salary change reaches payroll but not the books. At the year-end, finance spends weeks reconciling numbers that were right in one tool and wrong in another.
At published prices, separate tools for this work cost about ₹230 to ₹800 per employee a month, before set-up fees and the hours spent joining them up. How we worked that out.
We think the fix is simple to say and hard to build: one employee record. An approved timesheet becomes payroll, payroll becomes ledger entries, and the ledger becomes the company's ITR-6, with nobody re-typing a number. The same record runs the everyday work too: a ticket resolved in Desk, a skill verified in Skills and a referral hired in Refer all count in Growth's reviews, and a thank-you in Growth becomes a Cheer card.

How we work
Four habits we keep.
- 01
We build against the law as it changes
When a rule changes, we change the code and write up what changed and from when. The PF ceiling rose to ₹25,000 from 17 September 2026; Dexta Pay applies it from that date and works out past shortfalls. Our compliance hub explains each change in plain words.
- 02
We write in plain words
Screens, letters and help say what happens and what to do next, from your side. "Form 130 (was Form 16)", not a code number on its own.
- 03
We run our own company on it
Our own timesheets, payroll and books go through Dexta. If something is awkward, we feel it first.
- 04
We say what isn't built yet
For example, we don't hold an ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certificate yet, and the phone app installs from the browser rather than an app store. You can export all your data at any time, so you're never locked in.
