From timesheet to tax return
One employee record runs through Time, Pay, Spend and Books. Nobody re-types salaries into Tally.
An approved timesheet and approved leave tell payroll who worked and who was on unpaid leave. The payroll run posts its journal into Books by itself. So do expense claims. At the year-end, the statements and tax forms come from that same ledger.

- Unpaid days from timesheets and leave go straight to Pay
- Payroll, statutory deposits and expense claims post into Books by themselves, never twice
- Increments decided in Growth and referral bonuses from Refer arrive in Pay as drafts for payroll to approve
- The same record feeds reviews: attendance from Time, tickets resolved and SLA met % from Desk, referral hires from Refer and skills approved from Skills fill Growth's KPIs by themselves
- Form 130 Part C (was Form 16 Part B) for every employee, from the same payroll
- GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Schedule III statements with notes, cash flow, CARO 2020, tax audit papers (3CD) and ITR-6 working papers from the posted ledger
Compared with others. Keka, greytHR and most HR tools send their payroll journal to Tally or Zoho Books. Zoho does its own accounting, in separate apps.
To be clear: Dexta doesn't yet raise client invoices from approved hours. Today the chain runs from timesheet to payroll to the books.
