Installing the phone app

What you’ll do: put Dexta on your phone’s home screen and get notifications on that phone.

Who can do this: everyone.

Dexta’s phone app installs straight from your phone’s browser. There’s nothing to find in the Play Store or App Store.

Steps

1. On your phone, open your company’s Dexta Hub address in Chrome, Edge or Safari, and sign in.
2. Open My Profile from the left menu. Under Today you see Install Dexta on your phone.
3. Android: tap Install. iPhone: tap Share in Safari, then Add to Home Screen, then Add.
4. Open Dexta from your home screen.
5. On My Profile, under Get notifications on this device, tap Turn on and allow notifications when the phone asks.

Good to know

• On iPhone, notifications need iOS 16.4 or later.
• The install card goes away once Dexta is installed, or if you tap Not now.
• To choose which devices get notifications, or to remove an old phone, open Sign-in security (from the sign-out icon) and use the Phone notifications card. Send a test checks it works.
• Dexta Time has its own Install Dexta Time on your phone banner, for clocking in.
