Resignations, clearance and exit
Take a resignation from submission through notice, clearance and the exit interview to settlement.
Updated 15 October 2026
What you’ll do: handle someone leaving, step by step, so nothing is missed.
Who can do this: the employee resigns, their manager approves, HR runs the exit, and IT takes back access and assets.
Steps
- The employee opens Resignation & Exit and clicks Submit your resignation, with a Reason, the Notice period (days) and their last working day. Their manager approves it.
- HR opens Offboarding and the person’s case in the Offboarding Pipeline.
- Confirm the Last working day, then work through Clearance and click Mark cleared as each item is done.
- Under Exit interview, click Schedule exit interview and later Record feedback, or choose No exit interview.
- IT sees the leaver in Provisioning Queue and clicks Revoke access, and takes back assets in Asset Inventory.
- The Full and final settlement card shows Pay’s progress: Not worked out yet, Worked out, waiting on approval, Approved and Paid.
Good to know
- The stages are Resignation, Approval, Notice Period, Clearance, Exit Interview and Settled.
- The employee sees each clearance item as Cleared or Pending.
- After leaving, people keep access to their payslips and tax forms in Dexta Pay for the time your company sets.
