PayDexta Pay

Bank salary files

Download your bank's bulk-upload file for an approved run, check it adds up, and mark the run paid.

Updated 15 October 2026

What you’ll do: make the file your bank needs to pay salaries, then record that the bank has paid.

Who can do this: payroll admins and finance.

Steps

  1. In Dexta Pay, open Bank Transfer. Approved runs are listed.
  2. On the run, click Bank file. Choose the Bank file layout and the Value date (the day the bank pays).
  3. Check the total shows Adds up. If it says Doesn’t add up, look at the people listed before going on.
  4. Click Download bank file(s) and upload the file to your bank’s corporate banking.
  5. When the bank has paid, click Mark disbursed.

Good to know

  • Bank file layouts has starting layouts for HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI, Axis Bank, Kotak, YES Bank and IndusInd Bank bulk uploads. Banks don’t publish their salary layouts, so check yours once: click Test file, upload it in your bank’s portal without authorising it, and click Mark tested with what the bank said. For any other bank, click New layout and set your own columns.
  • Who’s paid shows who is in the file. Anyone left out (say, a missing account number) can be paid separately and recorded with Mark paid.
  • Plain CSV gives a simple file for checking.
  • New or changed bank accounts are approved under Account Changes. Nobody approves their own.
