Running a review cycle
Set up a cycle in six steps: name and dates, rhythm, who's included, templates, review stages, launch.
Updated 15 October 2026
What you’ll do: launch a performance cycle for the whole company or part of it.
Who can do this: HR.
Steps
- In Dexta Growth, open Settings, then New cycle. You see A new cycle in six steps.
- Type What’s it called? and click Start setting up.
- Name and dates: the Cycle name, Starts on and Ends on.
- Rhythm: how often Full reviews come (once a year, twice a year or every quarter) and how often Check-ins come (every month or every quarter).
- Who’s included: Everyone, some departments, some designations or named people.
- Templates and Review stages: the scorecard templates, and the due dates for self and manager reviews. Click Preview.
- Launch: click Launch the cycle. Then Go to the command centre on Home.
Good to know
- A draft changes nothing until it’s launched, so you can try the wizard safely.
- Reviews move from self review to manager, the final reviewer, HR sign-off, calibration and release. Home shows each stage with counts and what’s overdue.
- If the new cycle overlaps another, the button reads Launch anyway so you can’t do it by accident.
