Privacy notice and data requests
Publish your DPDP privacy notice, record consent, and answer employees' requests to see, correct or erase their data.
Updated 15 October 2026
What you’ll do: publish a privacy notice your people read once, and handle their data requests within your deadline.
Who can do this: members of your privacy team. Every employee can raise a request.
Publishing the privacy notice
- In Dexta Hub, open Privacy requests under Admin, then the Privacy notice tab.
- Click Start from the template (or Start a new version to change one you’ve published).
- Pick a Language, edit the Title and Text, and click Save this language. Add as many languages as you need: English and the 22 scheduled languages are offered.
- Click Publish. Everyone is asked to read it the next time they sign in, and clicks I’ve read this, continue.
Answering a data request
- An employee opens Privacy in the left menu, then Requests and complaints. Under What do you need? they choose See my data, Correct my data, Erase my data, Name a nominee or A complaint, add Details and click Send request.
- The request appears on your Requests tab as Received.
- Open it. Use Add note to keep track as you work on it.
- Write under Answer the person and click Send answer, or use Refuse, with this reason.
Good to know
- Set Answer requests within (days), your Privacy contact and your Privacy team on the Contact and team tab. Give someone the Privacy role adds a member.
- The Consent tab lists optional uses people can agree to, with a Consent ledger of every yes and no.
- Retention and Clean-up set how long records are kept after someone leaves. Who looked shows who opened personal records.
- Under 18 handles a parent’s or guardian’s consent for young workers.
