PF at the ₹25,000 wage ceiling
Move your PF rules to the ₹25,000 ceiling from 17 September 2026 and settle any shortfall.

What you’ll do: bring the PF wage ceiling up to date and confirm the shortfall for anyone paid at the old ceiling.
Who can do this: payroll admins.
Steps
- In Dexta Pay, open Compliance Rules under Admin and click Bring PF wage ceiling up to date.
- Read what will change and click Bring it up to date. September 2026 is worked out in two parts: 1 to 16 September at ₹15,000 and 17 to 30 September at ₹25,000.
- If a run was already made at the old ceiling, Payroll Runs shows PF short at the new wage ceiling (₹25,000 from 17 Sep 2026). Click it.
- The list shows each person, what PF was paid on, what it should be, and their share and the employer’s share that’s short.
- Check it and click Confirm for n people. Each row then moves on from To confirm.
Good to know
- To pay PF on the full wage instead of the ceiling, tick PF on the full wage for that person.
- Statutory deposits for PF are tracked under Statutory Deposits, with the date paid and the bank’s BSR code.
